Helping you shoot for the moon

Web fairy!

I used to freak out about web stuff. Because I know next to nothing about it. And hiring someone to handle something that’s such a critical part of my business is a big thing.

Since finding Kate I have zero freak outs.

She’s brilliant at what she does. Highly skilled. Wildly efficient. Capable of working web-ey miracles.

But, beyond that, she has managed to make every single thing feel totally doable, even stuff I thought would be a huge, complicated ordeal.

So not only do I appreciate what Kate does, but I’m also crazy grateful for how she does it. She serves up her amazing know-how with the perfect mix of patience, kindness and a genuine sense of support.

I can’t even tell you how much it means to have a reliable web person. It’s a HUGE relief. Thanks Kate!

Fabeku Fatunmise, Sankofa Song Sound Healing

You're already running your own website, and you're basically totally on top of it, but just now and then you wish you had a little help.

Sound like you?

You need a web fairy!

Solopreneurs are incredibly resourceful, independent people, but you really don't have to do everything yourself. I can help out with your website stuff, leaving you free to take care of those crucial, central aspects of your business that only you can do.

Being your Web Fairy means just being there for whenever you need a little extra help. It's basically like having a webmistress on staff, except that you only pay for the time you use. You email me, I turn up and start waving a sparkly wand. Poof! That newsletter sign-up box you've been dreaming about forever just became reality.

Because you can give me a shout whenever you need something done, I get to work with most of my web fairy clients over a period of months or years, so we really get to develop a relationship. That means that you're working with someone you know and trust, who really cares about your business.

Here's how it works

It's dead simple. You buy a chunk of my time, and then you get to use it for whatever webby things you like. When you have something you need doing, you just send me an email, and I do it for you. Then I let you know how much of that time I've used, so you can just buy more time as and when you want it.

When I say whatever webby things you like, I mean it. Whether it's something small like updating WordPress or something big like a redesign or a new membership system, it's all good. Anything that makes your webby life a little easier and happier.

That includes teaching you how to do things, if that's what you want. Teach a man to fish, and all that.

Here are some examples of things people ask for:

How much does it cost?

You can buy an hour of my time for £50, half a day of my time for £140, or a whole day (7.5 hours) for £250.

Your time doesn't expire for a whole year, so there's no need to rush to use it up.

I appreciate that you may well not know how much time you need to buy, so before we get started we'll talk through what you'd like done, and I'll advise you on how much time you might want.

When I email you with work, how soon will you be able to do it?

Most of the time, I can get to it very quickly.

That said, it's always a good idea to give me as much notice as you can when you have something you need doing – even if it's still at the 'vague thought' stage ('I'm thinking of tweaking my homepage next month…').

If you call me at the last minute, of course there's a chance I may not be able to get to it straight away. But in practice, I can almost always do it very soon, and I will certainly always reply straight away to let you know when it'll be.

I need more notice for the big jobs (full redesign, or a large custom coding job) than the small ones (if you're just asking for some advice, or a few pages added).
